Learn how to add Goals in Swydo

Updated this week

You can enhance your understanding of working with Goals in Swydo.

Please continue reading to discover the steps for setting Goals in the monitoring overview.

You can add Goals to Swydo either from the Monitoring page or directly from your Client page.

Adding goals from your Monitoring page:

Head to the Monitoring page on the left side panel, then click on Goals on the upper part of the page:

Click on a new goal to start. You will be asked to set up the goal, and these are the settings you will need to configure:

You can also access the Goals from the Client page:

Head to the client where you want to add the first goal, click on the Goals tab, and then on "Add Goal", and the process to add them is the same as explained above.

Once you have all your Goals connected, your monitoring page could look something like the image below.

How Goals work:

The Goals will let you know if you are "On track", Off Track, or if the goal was achieved, depending on the results and the time frame selected for each target.

Remember, they can show up as "On track" if there is still time for the goal to be achieved, Off track if the target might not get achieved based on the results and the time frame chosen, and Achieved if the target was met.

The way the targets are calculated depends on the Target Period chosen, so for example:

If you're running a campaign, with a daily budget of $20 you might set a target to track spending throughout the day. If 48% of the day has passed and you've only spent $6, the target calculation would be:

Goal = Amount Spent So Far / Budget Expected to be Spent by Now

If 48% of the day has passed, you should have spent:

0.48 Γ— 20 = 9.6 USD

Since you've only spent $6, the Goal would be:

Goal = 6/9.6 = 0.625

In this case, you're under the target of $9.60; hence, the Goal would show a value less than 1, and the visualization would display as "On track."
